Thermal–Hydraulic Calculation and Analysis on Water Wall System of a 700 MWe Ultra-Supercritical CFB Boiler

Ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler combustion technology has the advantages of environmental protection and good commercialization. As one key aspects in ultra-supercritical CFB technology, water wall system directly determines whether can safely effectively transform heat energy. This paper studies thermal–hydraulic characteristics designed a 700 MWe boiler, largest that will be built next year. At four loads system, hydrodynamic parameters are calculated based on successfully verified mathematical models. The results show good. temperature distribution working fluid metal is acceptable safe at each load, which support technical development improvement boiler.
